Captivating Classes: Early Childhood Series Classes

Stepping Stones understands the important role of play in developing and nurturing a child’s love of lifelong learning. Our play-filled early childhood classes encourage creativity, exploration and discovery with an amazing
array of hands-on activities.

While children will have a ball, they will also develop valuable motor, cognitive, language and social skills. Classes help children prepare for school. Let their imaginations soar! Class members are encouraged to explore the museum galleries before or after class at no additional charge.

Caregiver attendance is required at all classes.

AGES 6 months – 2½

Stepping Into Senses
Wednesdays 10:15 – 11:00 am

Inspire the senses! Help your children explore multi-sensory activities as they build language, motor and social skills. Each session includes music, movement, stories and hands-on activities.

AGES 1 – 2 ½

Science Says
Tuesdays 10:15 – 11:00 am
(Fall, winter and spring only)

Toddlers have an innate curiosity about the world around them. Science Says will help them explore that world by developing their natural scientific abilities and giving them the vocabulary to describe what they learn.

Move in Tune

Welcome to Tuneville, a place of melody, color and rhythm! We will explore the wonders of music through movement, singing and feeling the beat.


ArtSmarts
Fridays 10:15 – 11:15 am

Calling all pint-sized artists! Experiment with a wide variety of artistic materials and methods including paint, sculpture, printing and collage. Children will explore shapes, colors, forms and patterns while learning about different modes of expression.

Science Says: Discover Nature!
Tuesdays 10:15 – 11:00 am
(Summer only)

Let’s head outside and discover the diverse array of life in the Edible and Community Gardens. Our outside adventures are filled with hands-on investigations of animals, plants, weather, water and more!
