About the Museum
|
OverviewStepping Stones Museum for Children, named one of America’s Top 50 Children’s Museums, features interactive exhibits, educational programs and fun for the whole family. With four main galleries, a toddlers-only gallery and more than 100 hands-on activities, Stepping Stones offers children ages ten and under plenty to explore and discover. Understanding that children learn best by doing, all exhibits and programs are designed to promote active inquiry and investigation. Children construct race cars and learn about momentum, explore whirlpools and the water cycle, and role play as scientists studying tropical rainforests and conservation. |
Stepping Stones offers a variety of educational programs to enhance and extend the visitor experience. These offerings include family programs, school and group programs, after-school programs, scout workshops, early childhood classes, summer drop-off programs, special events and performances. The museum’s whimsical design makes it a great venue for birthday parties and special events.
