Help the Earth's Rainforests

Rainforest Adventure illustrates the essential elements of tropical rainforests and the challenges and opportunities of conservation.

Climb a kapok tree, explore a gorilla's nest, meet virtual rainforest scientists, learn how to protect endangered species and much more!

Sample Activities

Kapok Tree: Build a flower. Do you see the roots, stems and leaves? Find the red plant and look under the magnifying lens. Can you find a poison dart frog?

Build a Bug: Construct a 3-D insect. What color is it? What insects and other animals might you find outside?

Latin America: Play the bird matching game. Sound out the bird names in English and Spanish.

Base Camp: Put on a vest and become a H.E.R.O. scientist. Look at the rainforest map. Where in the world are the rainforests? Would you like to visit a rainforest country?

Africa: Build a gorilla nest. Measure the gorilla handprints and compare them to your hands. What is similar and what is different about them?
