The Resource Center offers not only books, but activities
for children and adults to expand their knowledge through
interaction with hands-on materials and literature.

The Resource Center is a place where parents, educators and caregivers can find materials to provide exceptional learning opportunities through interactive materials and educator resources such as learning units, reference material and a large collection of books for students at all levels. Children and adults will have fun exploring!

Resource Center Reads!
Thursdays, 4 pm
Listen and play along during this special story time. Children of all ages will enjoy hearing stories accompanied with the use of the many manipulatives offered in The Resource Center.

The Resource Center Library
Over 1,800 books on many topics including:
- Parent References
- Teacher References
- Picture Books
- Board Books
- Crafts & Activities
- Non-fiction works (Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, The Rainforest, Music
& Poetry, Cultural Heritage and a collection of Bilingual books)
Check-out Policies
The books are available for check-out with a current Stepping Stones Museum membership.
Members can check out 2 books for 2 weeks. There are late fees for overdue books and renewals are limited.
Late Fees:
7 days $1 per book
14 days $2 per book
21 days $3 per book
28 days or more, or lost book, price of book plus a $2 book handling fee.
The Resource Center Hours
Tuesday 1 – 5 pm, Wednesday – Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm
Additional hours are available by appointment.
