Stepping Stones Museum for Children Receives $10K Grant from HSBC

Norwalk, CT – March 15, 2007 - Stepping Stones Museum for Children has received a grant of $10,000 from HSBC to support educational programs. With this gift, HSBC becomes a member of Companies for Kids, the museum’s corporate partnership program that aligns businesses and Stepping Stones in joint community interests through memberships, sponsorships, grants, volunteerism and special events. 

“We are excited to welcome HSBC to Companies for Kids,” said Stepping Stones Executive Director Rhonda Kiest. “The museum thrives on these mutually-beneficial partnerships that introduce fresh ideas as well as funds to support our ongoing exhibits and programs.”

HSBC is committed to educational and environmental initiatives. HSBC Senior Vice President and District Executive Paul Ho said, "It is important to HSBC to support Stepping Stones as a great community asset, especially given its commitment to education. We are proud of our new relationship with the museum and look forward to exploring mutual community interests." HSBC - North America provides financial and volunteer support to qualified, locally based nonprofit organizations.  Supporting and building relationships with those who live in the communities the bank serves are primary objectives of the bank’s contributions and grants program.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is an award-winning children's museum where children ages ten and under can explore a variety of exhibits and activities that inspire an understanding of the world around them.
