Count me in!

Count me in! Community Campaign

For 10 years, Stepping Stones Museum for Children has delivered some of the best exhibits, programming and family entertainment in Connecticut. We’ve earned recognition among the top children’s museums in the country and just recently welcomed our 2 millionth visitor!

Our next milestone is the grand opening of a 22,000 square foot, state-of-the-art addition on November 20. The new space will include Energy Lab a fun, futuristic setting that will inspire the scientist and inventor in everyone; a dynamic Multimedia Gallery able to connect our
community to others around the world; cutting-edge programming, expanded play areas and even traveling exhibits on tour from other museums.

As you can imagine, such an undertaking requires a lot of energy, a lot of muscle and a lot of support. So, we’ve created the Count me in! Community Campaign to encourage everyone to connect and reconnect with the museum, to be involved, to be counted and to help us raise $2 million.

Ways to Be Counted

A series of Count me in! sponsorship opportunities, activities and events are slated throughout the summer and fall leading up to the Grand Opening.

• Buy a Virtual Energy Ball

Inspired by the new Energy Lab exhibit, brightly colored balls will symbolically help us count everyone who participates! From now until the expansion opens, members, friends and visitors can buy Count me in! energy balls to feed the Energy Lab’s hungry Ballcano this fall.

So don’t be left out!  Buy a ball. Get involved. Stay connected. Please say “Count me in! ” and you too can play a permanent role in our museum’s future.

• Help Our Garden
Stepping Stones exciting expansion and enhancement project involves not only the museum's interior, but outdoor space as well. The expanded museum will feature a community garden providing children and their families with opportunities to explore and enjoy the natural world. Plans for the garden include space for a rich array of native plants, an edible garden, a water garden, and both active and reflective play areas. The garden will also feature three whimsical, interactive sculptures that introduce renewable energy sources and energy generation principles. Learn more.
