Help Our Garden Grow!
Stepping Stones exciting expansion and enhancement project involves not only the museum's interior, but outdoor space as well.
The new museum will feature a community garden providing children and their families with opportunities to explore and enjoy the natural world. Plans for the garden include space for a rich array of native plants, an edible garden, a water garden, and both active and reflective play areas. The garden will also feature three whimsical, interactive sculptures that introduce renewable energy sources and energy generation principles.
This community will help revitalize Mathews Park, create a central hub for green space in Norwalk, provide unstructured, outdoor space for children to explore, and promote lasting community connections, involvement and ownership for visitors of all ages.
