Summer Camp at Stepping Stones

Starting June 20, bring your children to our award-winning children’s museum for weekly in-person summer camp experiences filled with obvious fun and hidden learning. Our experienced staff is ready to take them on an unforgettable adventure!
Camp Schedule:
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Extended care available for a fee: 3:00 – 5:00 pm

Camp Pricing:
$390/week ($325/week for members)
Extended day is an additional $135/week ($100/week for members)

**Camp workshop activities will be adjusted according to the age of each child.

STEAM Studio
Ages 5 – 10

Art, science, and math unite in this week brimming with creativity. Through artistic and playful exploration of concepts like energy, forces, sound, botany and chemistry, as well as patterns and geometry, we’ll make connections and see the exciting things that happen when science and art join forces!

July 25 – 29

Paleo Safari
Ages 5 – 10

Travel back in time to learn about some of the amazing creatures that swam the oceans, climbed on land and took flight long before there were humans. How do we know they existed? Who are they related to today? Campers will see animals through new eyes as we explore the past and present with hands-on exploration, special guests and a field trip to the Maritime Aquarium.

Paleontology 101
Ages 5 – 8

Junior paleontologists unite! Let’s dig into Earth’s past and learn about some of the animals who lived here long ago, especially the famous dinosaurs, through hand-on activities and investigations. We will learn about the various traits of the animals, how they survived and their modern-day descendants. Learn about some of the famous discoveries and how paleontologists piece together the past.

June 27 – July 1

STEAM Lab
Ages 5 – 10

Innovation is the name of the game in this week of STEAM investigations. Discover how things work and then invent, create and build new toys, machines, structures and much more! Design solutions to everyday problems and work with your team to overcome obstacles. Your imagination knows no bounds.


July 5 – 8

STEAM Studio
Ages 5 – 10

Animation Station
Ages 7 – 10

Learn the fundamentals of animation and explore different stop-motion animation techniques using clay, drawing, props and time-lapse video. Learn to tell a story without words and produce your first movie!


July 18 – 22

Space Mission
Ages 7 – 10

Blast off into a week filled with adventure as we orbit our planetary neighbors, stars, asteroids, satellites and beyond! Learn about recent space voyages and prepare for a rocket-launching mission of your own. Create nebula art, design spacecrafts and much more! Expand your horizon in this stellar camp based on a NASA-developed curriculum.

July 25 – 29

Edible Art
Ages 5 – 10

Eating healthy can be fun and exciting when you make it art! Spend time in our edible garden learning how to grow food. Harvest fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to create a delicious dish. Trade utensils for paintbrushes and be inspired by artists who captured the rainbow of colors in the garden.

August 8 – 12

Storybook Theater
Ages 5 – 10

Lift a story off the page and bring it to the stage! Through improvisation, play-writing and music-making, we will hone our stage skills and harness our imaginations, as we enter into the world of stories and bring our audience along.
