In partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense (DoD), Stepping Stones is proud to participate in the Blue Star Museums program. Through the Blue Star Museums program, Stepping Stones offers free admission to our nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

Though the Blue Star Museums program runs each year from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day, the generosity of the museum’s supporters of our Open Arms accessibility initiative allows Stepping Stones to offer this discounted admission benefit to our military families year-round. Thanks to all of our military families for your service and sacrifice!

Museums for All is a signature access program of the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and the Institute of Library Service (IMLS) to encourage families of all backgrounds to visit the museum regularly and build lifelong museum habits. Stepping Stones is proud to be the first museum in Connecticut to participate in this important access program.

EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cardholders can receive discounted admission to Stepping Stones through the Museums for All program. Simply show your EBT card and a valid form of photo ID when you arrive at our Welcome Desk and pay a $3 per person admission fee (for up to four [4] people per card, per visit).

The discounted rate is only valid during normal operating hours and does not cover special events and fee-based activities. Stepping Stones cannot process EBT transactions. The EBT card will simply be used to identify visitors as qualifiers for Museums for All.
