Devon’s Place

Devons’ Place was developed into a regional playground for all children. Challenges included incorporating the play elements into a sloping site while accommodating an existing bike path. The playground celebrates Norwalk’s nautical heritage and compliments other attractions, such as the Maritime Museum, Stepping Stones, and Norwalk Heritage Park.

The Maritime Aquarium

Norwalk Seaport Association

Oyster Shell Park

On a nice day, a footpath from the Aquarium along Oyster Shell Park leads to Stepping Stones Museum for Children as well as the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion.

Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum

Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is one of the earliest and finest surviving Second Empire-style country houses ever built in the United States — just “steps” away from Stepping Stones. Tours are available.
