Museum Accessibility

At the heart of Stepping Stones is an unwavering commitment to inclusion. Simply put, all families are invited to play and learn at Stepping Stones. The museum is an inviting, welcoming and diverse learning community that celebrates all children and families for their similarities and uniqueness, broad-ranging abilities, experiences, interests, needs and perspectives.

With our accessible programming, we modify our learning environment for a supportive, sensory-friendly experience for individuals with sensory processing differences and other special needs.

ACCESS-ability*

During the afternoons of the third Monday of each month, we modify our learning environment through light and sound adjustments and limit visitation to create a supportive, sensory-friendly experience for individuals with sensory processing differences and other special needs. Regular programs and workshops feature community professionals and/or partner organizations who share their knowledge and expertise.

An Open Arms program.
