Crystal Theatre’s
Pirates of Penzance

Crystal Theatre, a performing arts academy in Norwalk, brings Pirates of Penzance to Stepping Stones! The story follows Frederic, who is released from his apprenticeship with band of tender-hearted pirates on his 21st birthday and falls in love with a young woman, Mabel. Frederic soon learns, however, that he was born on the February 29, and technically has a birthday only once each leap year. He must remain apprenticed to the pirates until his “twenty-first birthday”, which is 63 years away!

Will Mabel and Frederic’s love survive while they wait the many long years to be reunited? Find out in this thrilling, swashbuckling tale, performed by talented young artists from the Crystal Theatre!

Crystal Theatre is dedicated to the development of young artists through rigorous training in all aspects of musical theater in a supportive and encouraging environment and specializing in the use of original musicals written specifically for our organization.
