Tholpavakoothu – The Shadow Puppet Play of Kerala

Tradition, culture and storytelling collide as Puppeteer Anthony Sellitto-Budney invites you to experience Tholpavakoothu—an ancient form of shadow puppetry popular in the northern districts of Kerala, India. In Malayalam, Thol means leather, pava means doll and koothu the play.
Abantu Mu Buntu – Performance Workshop Live from Uganda

In collaboration with international art exchange organization, Creative Connections, cultural heritage comes to life during this interactive workshop featuring students from Uganda’s Tender Talents School.  Enjoy singing, dancing and the drumming of traditional African pieces followed by a live, interactive session where you’ll be able to speak to, learn from and dance with the Ugandan youth performers.
Winter Holiday Laser Adventure

A Hanukkah with Mazel Puppet Show

Meet Mazel, the luckiest cat in town! This heartwarming story is adapted from the book by Joel Edward Stein, told using hand carved wooden puppets and projected illustrations. Follow artist Misha and his feline friend Mazel as they spend Hanukkah together eating latkes, painting and staying warm by the fire.
A Christmas Carol Puppet Show

It’s a Christmas classic like you’ve never seen it before! This modern re-imagining of the Charles Dickens story features marionettes big and small — from 6 inches to 20 feet tall! Live filmmaking techniques and our giant multimedia screen will be used to tell the story of Scrooge, whose greed and carelessness are confronted when strange visitors appear one winter night.
Vivace String Ensemble of Suzuki Music Schools

Enjoy a performance of pop, rock and festive holiday music performed by local string ensemble, Vivace! This concert will feature a variety of fun music the whole family can enjoy including specially created arrangements of favorite pop/rock tunes from Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" to OneRepublic's "Secrets," as well as some holiday tunes to close out the season.
Show Up, Kids! – Holiday Edition

This internationally acclaimed, entirely unique, semi-improvised performance featuring music puts a comedic twist on the traditional "kids’ show." When the main attraction doesn’t show up, the hapless host will enlist the children (and their grownups) to help create a show from set to sound, plot to props and costumes to characters. Horatio Holiday: “Every Day is A Holiday!”

Immerse yourself in the resonant rhythms of jembe and doundoun drums, complimented by the captivating sounds of shekeres, as we honor the principles and values of Kwanzaa.
LED Glow Show

Witness a fantastic spectacle of light! Local performance artist LB Stein promises to amaze viewers of all ages with breathtaking maneuvers featuring LED hula hoops, fans, flow wands and wings.
Noon Year’s Eve: Countdown to Noon

We’re having a rockin’ Noon Year’s Eve party at Stepping Stones! Star Factory’s DJ Lou will be in the house as we say goodbye to 2023 and ring in 2024 with great fanfare. Countdown to noon with us and watch New Year’s Eve celebrations from around the world on our huge, immersive multimedia screen. Get ready to dance, sing and have a blast!
