Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Limitation of entry is possible, but unlikely even on our busiest days.

Free parking is available in Mathews Park.

  • All daily programs and activities are FREE with the cost of admission.
  • Visit our calendar for daily programs and upcoming events.

Safe Ways to Play

  • Adults must accompany their children at all times, no matter the age.
  • Strollers are allowed in all exhibits, except Tot Town® and Energy Lab®. Consider leaving your stroller in the car if you can do without it.
  • Shoes must be worn in the museum and Celebration Courtyard.
  • Enjoy food and drinks in our Healthyville® Café or Celebration Courtyard.
  • Take note of what your child is wearing today. This is helpful for reuniting guests.
  • Please use changing stations in the bathrooms.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is committed to welcoming all visitors and providing experiences that are inclusive and interactive for people of all abilities.

Less busy, quieter hours to visit are usually between 2:00 – 5:00 pm weekdays.

A family bathroom is located near the front of the museum.

Strobe and other bright lights are present in the Lights On! exhibit dark room and the Light Gallery.

Visitors may check out a backpack of support items at the Welcome Desk that includes:

  • Noise reducing headphones
  • Fidget items
  • Light reducing glasses
  • Sensory weighted neck snake
  • Non-verbal communication cards
